Anthony Domol is a new meteorologist at KTXS News. This is his first job in meteorology and in broadcasting. He will be working on weekends and eventually mornings in the upcoming months. He comes to work for us all the way from Farmington Hills, Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit.

Anthony initially went to school at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, and received a bachelor’s degree in Education. He then interned for a full year teaching a 4th grade classroom. Ever since he was a very young boy, though, Anthony had a big time passion for weather and decided he was going to take action on it. He immediately went back to school after his teaching internship and he enrolled at Valparaiso University in Indiana spending three years achieving a second bachelor’s degree in Meteorology. During his time at Valparaiso, Anthony interned at WGN-TV in Chicago with Chief Meteorologist Tom Skilling. He also worked a second internship closer to home at WJBK-TV FOX 2 Detroit with Chief Meteorologist Rich Luterman.

Anthony grew to love meteorology through his fascination with snow and winter weather systems. He also enjoys tracking a good severe weather event as he was part of a 10 day tornado chase in the nation’s midsection during the spring semester of his first year at Valparaiso. Anthony has found the start of the career that he has always considered to be his dream.

In his spare time, Anthony takes a lot of pride in staying physically fit. He enjoys running and lifting weights and playing a whole variety of sports including basketball, golf, and ping-pong. He also loves watching college football, baseball, and tennis. He heavily pulls for his Michigan State Spartans and is a huge Detroit Tigers and Lions fan.
