Jesse Smith, a photographer for KTXS, joined the KTXS news staff in 2012 as a photojournalist.

He says he enjoys working as a photographer because it brings something new each day.

Jesse was born and raised in El Paso. After graduated from high school, he moved to Abilene to attend McMurry University.

Jesse graduated from McMurry University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in art degree – with a focus on graphic design and photography. 

While attending McMurry University, Jesse started working for KTXS as a production assistant and joined the news staff in 2012 as a photojournalist.

When Jesse isn't working, he enjoys helping his parents with their longhorn cattle ranch in Eula.

Jesse also enjoys the outdoors, camping, hiking, fly fishing and target shooting.
