George Levesque has lived his entire life right here in the Big Country.

He was born in Colorado City in 1972 and lived there until high school graduation in 1990.

George graduated from McMurry University in 1996 with a degree in theatre and a minor in political science. While in college, he worked as a radio disc jockey. After graduation, George started a daily talk show and hosted that for five years.

In early 2000, George joined KTXS as a sports reporter. Three years later, he moved to Abilene's most-watched morning news program KTXS This Morning as the program's anchor.

George is currently co-anchor of KTXS News at Five and serves KTXS as news director.

George has won several Texas Associated Press Broadcasters awards for journalism. George's wife, Sidney, works for Abilene Christian University. Their daughter, Julia, was born July 15, 2010.
