(CNN) -

It's another boy for actress Elizabeth Banks and husband Max Handelman, who recently welcomed their second child via gestational surrogate.

The couple named their latest arrival Magnus Mitchell Handelman.

"Hunger Games" and "Pitch Perfect" star Banks, 38, shared the happy news on her website, noting that with Thanksgiving approaching she has "much for which to be thankful - personal, professional and Presidential."

But, that said, "nothing can match the joy and excitement my husband and I felt when we recently welcomed our second baby boy," Banks wrote. "Magnus joins older brother Felix, thus commencing a decade or more of close hand-to-hand combat."

Felix, now 20 months, was also born via gestational surrogate. Banks explained when he was born that she's been "very fortunate" both professionally and personally, with "the one true hurdle" she's faced being "that I have a broken belly. After years of trying to get pregnant, exploring the range of fertility treatments, all unsuccessful, our journey led us to gestational surrogacy: we make a 'baby cake' and bake it in another woman's 'oven.'"

The busy actress - who has the next "Hunger Games" installment, "Catching Fire," on her plate as well as the upcoming 3-D animated Lego movie, "Lego: The Piece of Resistance" (no, really) -- said she's also thankful for her support system of family and friends, as well as the Center for Surrogate Parenting.

"I now turn my attention to managing two boys under two," Banks said in closing. "For which I am thankful. And all their poop. For which I am less thankful. Wish me luck."
