KTXS, the news leader in Abilene, Texas is looking for a REPORTER.

The ideal candidate is an ethical, passionate journalist who is self-motivated and has a great attitude; someone with a sense of curiosity; someone who will not take no for an answer and always looks to answer WHY; a great story teller who can write for on-air, as well as the web and social media.

You must have solid news judgment, the ability to multi-task and be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Our reporters get to work, day in and day out, with some of the best photographers in the state. Many of them have moved on to top 50 markets.

A college degree in journalism or related field is required. Experience with ENPS and Edius, or other non-linear editing platforms, are a big plus.

Full-Time Technical Director (Apply Here)

KTXS-TV is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to direct live newscasts, cut-ins, and programs. They need to be able to effectively communicate, coordinate and lead the news production crew. Will also need to do fill-in work during holidays, severe weather, breaking news, and others vacation time. Other responsibilities include, graphic design, video editing/uploading, commercial dub ingestion, and working on live events outside of the station.

Two years’ experience directing live programming preferred. Experience with Grass Valley Kayak a plus. Ability to operate studio cameras, audio board, and character generator is required. Must be a team player, who takes initiative, and be able to maintain control and composure during stressful situations.
