Proper flooring should be ensured while renovating your bathroom. The water should always get drained out properly and for that the perfect leveling work of the floor is essential. The control of the thermostat has to be supervised by you so that no harm affects the kid. You should be particular about the temperature of the water before using it on the kid.
The gadgets of the bathtub are to be covered with soft materials so that babies do not get hurt while playing with them in the bathtub. Some people have curtains around the shower pool. Avoid having long cods for them to avoid cases of strangulation hazards. The walk-in type showers are too risky for kids and hence you should avoid them totally. The use of glass partitions are very dangerous and can cause severe harm in terms of injury by broken glass particles.
Very rarely the toilet can prove to be a mischievous place for a small baby and that is why a latch may be used for the toilet lid. Use a firm stool for the kids to reach the basin for washing purpose.
A bathroom harbors many items like razors and chemicals, etc., which may be dangerous for the kids. Place a cupboard to keep these items under lock and key and particularly out of the reach of the kids. Don't leave open sockets and electrical points without proper plugging to maintain security and safety for your kids. Making your bathroom 100 percent safe may be difficult, yet, it is wise to take proper attention on the points discussed above which will ultimately bring down the possibility of further risks.
