Teen injured in Abilene crash at Beltway South near Hwy 83/84 (11 photos)

A 16-year-old girl ended up in the hospital after she crashed her car on Beltway Road Thursday morning.
This was about 11:15. Police tell us the girl was distracted, veered off the road and struck a mail box, then over-corrected and flipped her SUV.
The girl was the only person in the car and wasn't seriously injured but was taken to a hospital to be checked out.
Police say no citations will be issued.
