Preparations being made for West Texas Fair & Rodeo kickoff (12 photos)

Preparations were being made Wednesday for the startup of the 2012 West Texas Fair & Rodeo. Fair-goers can get an early look at the event Thursday when SNEAK-A-PEEK on Midway – sponsored by KTXS and KEAN radio – is held from 5 p.m. until closing. There will be free admission to the fairgrounds. Armbands can be purchased for $20. Having an armband allows admission to all carnival rides. Food concessions will be open. No exhibit buildings, however, will be open.
