The Dyess "We Care" team made some tasty treats for our veterans.
Men and women from Dyess baked pies for our veterans and others. "Meals on Wheels" opened their kitchen to help out.
This is all to help serve dessert at the Thanksgiving dinner next week. The volunteers were happy to support.
"When I give something good back to the community and to veterans, it makes me feel great," said Dyess Network Engineer Ramil Labiran. "I'm doing something good to other people."
The veterans Thanksgiving Dinner has been happening for over 20 years. It will be held at the Abilene Civic Center on Thanksgiving. It's open to the public.
