2012 Dachshund Races kick off Thursday

Rescue the Animals fifth annual Dachshund Races and Rescued Dog Reunion begin Thursday, July 19.
The reunion is at 6:30 p.m. at Nelson Park.
The actual races begin at 7 p.m. at the Festival Gardens, right across from the Abilene Zoo.
Gates will open at 5 p.m.
The event is free, but all the money raised will go to Rescue the Animals. There is no fee to enter your dog in the race.
