21 indicted by Taylor County grand jury

A Taylor County grand jury indicted 21 people Thursday on charges ranging from assault family violence to evading arrest.

Those indicted include:

David Esparza Alaniz, Jr. – assault family violence (enhanced)

Emma Gail Bennett – possession of methamphetamine

Jeffrey Scott Burleson – assault family violence

Braderick Benet Christian – unlawful restraint (one prior)

Sterling Blake Barnett – evading arrest (one prior), 2nd count possession of methamphetamine (two state jail priors) 

Steven Wayne Henry, Jr. – evading arrest

Marcus Joe Villarreal – possession of heroin, 2nd count possession of cocaine, 3rd count theft

Gregory Dunn Sanders aka Gregory Don Sanders – theft (enhanced) (two priors)

Kevin Aaron Deluna – indecency with a child by contact, 2nd count indecency with a child by exposure (one prior)

Michael James Caffey – theft (enhanced), 2nd count evading arrest (enhnaced)

Michael Don Petree – theft

Arthur Franklin Shotwell, III – possession of tetrahydrocannabinol (drug free zone)

Cody League – possession of tetrahydrocannabinol (drug free zone)

Fredrick Odysseus Phillips – possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, 2nd count possession of methamphetamine

Joshua Caleb Johnson -- possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, 2nd count possession of methamphetamine, 3rd count evading arrest (one prior)

Robert Tyrone Lilly - violation of protective order (two priors)

Iona Vleta Goggans – debit card abuse

Johnny Dowell Cooper – forgery (two priors)

Maria Teresa Salas – forgery, 2nd count theft from elderly, 3rd count exploitation of an elderly individual

Raul Valenzuela, Jr. – driving while intoxicated

Ricardo Villa – driving while intoxicated (two priors)
