POSTED: 4:50 pm CDT September 5, 2010UPDATED: 7:55 pm CDT September 5, 2010ABILENE, Texas -- Many attribute the expansion to local Universities being back in session and students looking for a new church to attend.
Abilene Christian University Freshman Connar Turner said she's visiting Beltway Baptist today, "I think I'm going to make this my church, I really like it."
The line leading to and from the church's parking lot on Sundays can stretch far, and Abilene Police Officers even help regulate the flow of traffic.
Beltway Baptist is now sending out pamphlets to help people get out of the parking lot easier, but the path takes cars through a nearby neighborhood.
Residents in that particular neighborhood told KTXS they're not happy with the increased traffic on Sundays, but a Beltway pastor says the street was made as a through-way for the church and is even wider than a regular street to help accommodate the traffic.
The church says they also encourage their congregation to slow down through that neighborhood.
