APD Arrest Drunk Drivers During No Refusal Weekend

POSTED: 3:57 pm CDT September 6, 2010ABILENE, Texas -- Abilene police arrested several people for drunk driving over the No Refusal holiday weekend.
Seven people were arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Since January 1, 2010, 460 DWI arrests have been made in Abilene.
No refusal weekend runs through Monday. This means if police pull you over for suspicion of drunk driving and you refuse a breathalyzer test, officers can immediately get a warrant for a blood sample.
