Christopher Galindo was found guilty about 1:40 p.m. Wednesday in Abilene, and the court immediately began the sentencing phase of the trial, which will not conclude until Thursday when an out-of-town witness can appear.
The jury found Galindo guilty of three charges: one count of first-degree felony injury to a child and two third-degree counts of injury to a child.
Investigators said Galindo injured the child by throwing him down stairs, but Galindo said it was an accident.
