40th Airlift Squadron members return home after six months abroad
It was an emotional homecoming at Dyess Air Force Base for members of the 40th Airlift Squadron Thursday. The airmen spent the last six months deployed in southeast Asia.
The squadron was deployed in support of Overseas Contingency Operations conducting missions that include combat airlift, resupply and troop carry.
Airmen said they were excited to get back to their friends and family.
The 40th Airlift Squadron has been continuously deployed for more than nine years.
