Abilene Animal Shelter offering adoption incentives during February

ABILENE, Texas -

The Abilene Animal Shelter is again discounting the cost of adopting an animal during the month of February.

Animal Services is doing an upfront discount of $20... and Rescue The Animals, SPCA is providing a $20 rebate to encourage adopters to complete the spay/neuter procedure.

The adoption includes a voucher for the rabies vaccination and city animal license.

Every month more than 800 animals are dropped off at the shelter..but only 200 to 250 find a new, loving family.

Help the shelter out if you can in trying to relieve the animal overcrowding problem
