Abilene City Council makes changes on home day care ordinance

ABILENE, Texas -

The city amended an ordinance that could allow home day care workers to care for more kids.

State law allows up to 12 children per home day care. However,  in Abilene six is the limit under a city ordinance.

The city council voted to allow more, but the day care operator will have to apply for a conditional use permit.
