The Adams Golf Pro Tour Series is delighted to announce the debut of the Young Life Abilene Open. This professional golf tournament will be held at Abilene Country Club ? Fairway Course in Abilene, TX, on August 15-18, 2012. The 72-hole event is expected to feature a tournament field of 110 touring pros from all over the country. The week will also include a Pro-Am tournament on Tuesday, August 14th. Amateur players that are interested in participating in the Pro-Am are welcome to register by contacting Young Life Abilene. Each Pro-Am team will consist of three (3) amateur players, and one (1) professional player from the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series.

The area has been a great host in past years and a tour favorite by the pros. Our goals this year and moving forward will continue to stay simple ? showcase professional golf and help raise money for Young Life of Abilene. The Fairway Course has hosted the PGA Tour?s LaJet Classic, the PGA Senior Tour?s Gatlin Brother?s Southwest Golf Classic, and the AJGA Aaron?s/Bob Estes Abilene Junior. It should provide a fine test of the Adams player?s skills. Abilene Country Club is honored be a part of the partnership with Young Life of Abilene and Adams Golf Pro Tour; not just to provide a golf venue, but to showcase an organization that the helps young people throughout our community.

In operation since 1994, the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series represents one of the best development opportunities for golf professionals to hone their competitive skills, while preparing for a life on the PGA Tours. Past players include three (3) time PGA Tour winners Ryan Palmer and Bubba Watson, and 2011 Nationwide Tour Player of the Year J.J. Killeen.
