An Abilene man was arrested Wednesday for having a sexual relationship with a girl under the age of 17.
James McNeill, 36, was arrested at the Law Enforcement Center after he was questioned by police.
According to APD, McNeill allegedly maintained that he had an ongoing sexual relationship with a girl under 17 years old.
He was charged with continuous sexual assault of a minor, a charge was recently passed through the Legislature and is a first-degree felony.
If convicted, McNeill faces a minimum of 25 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
