An Abilene man was arrested Thursday morning after police said he tried to break in to a north side snow cone stand.
Police said a citizen called them to report 20-year-old Christopher Martinez had tried to break in to the snow cone stand at the corner of North 10th and Mockingbird streets at 1:20 a.m. Thursday.
When they arrived on scene, police said they saw him trying to open the door of a locked storage trailer and that they found his blood on the handle and the lock.
According to police, Martinez was highly intoxicated at the time. He was arrested for public intoxication and class A attempted burglary.
