Abilene Police K-9 Officer Thor Visits KTXS

Abilene Police Officer Josh New and his K-9 partner Thor stopped by the KTXS studios to talk about what the Abilene Police dogs do.
Thor is the most recent addition to the Abilene K-9 force. Thor replaced now retired K-9 Diablo, who was also partnered with New.
Thor was trained in Germany. He now works in narcotic detection.
New said Thor was chosen to be a police dog for the Abilene Police Department because of his temperament. Thor lives with New full time.
