An Abilene man accused of bullying his 74-year-old grandmother is now charged with a third-degree felony.

According to police, 31-year-old Alfredo Salazar intimidated and bullied his grandmother until she lashed out and scratched him at a home on North 9th Street on Tuesday.

After a background check, police said they realized Salazar had two other family violence offenses at the home in May and June.

Police enhanced his charge to third-degree felony continuous acts of family violence.
