An Abilene man was arrested Sunday after police said he tried to handcuff himself to an oven to avoid being arrested on a warrant.
Police said they went to 52-year-old Paul Stanley's home on Pueblo Drive Sunday to arrest him for an outstanding warrant for class A criminal trespassing.
When they tried to arrest him, police said he allegedly pushed past the arresting officer and tried to lock himself to an oven.
Police said they held him down and he refused to give them his hands. He finally gave up.
Stanley was arrested for his warrant and is also charged with class A resisting arrest.
He was taken to the Taylor County Jail and posted bail Sunday.
