Police are investigating a body found at the Whispering Oaks Apartments, 626 North Jefferson.
The call came in about 3:45 p.m. Thursday. Neighbors said a maintenance man saw the body and had to break in to the house through a window to get to it.
According to Abilene Police, it is not believed to be a homicide because all the doors and windows appeared to be locked from the inside. The investigation, however, is continuing.
Police believe the body had been there for quite a while.
Police said they won't know the exact cause of death until after an autopsy is performed.
