Abilene Runner's Club ready for Turkey Trot 2012

ABILENE, Texas -

The Abilene Runner's Club is gearing up for the 2012 Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day.

The 2012 Turkey Trot will be on Thanksgiving Day. The 5K Run/Walk begins at 8:30 a.m. The one mile Kids Fun-Run begins at 9:30 a.m. The race begins at Shotwell Stadium.

Lisa Snow and Sherri Snyder from the Abilene Runner's Club visited KTXS This Morning a week before Thanksgiving to talk about the Turkey Trot. They said it's a perfect way to eat the big meal later on guilt free. 

Proceeds from the Trot benefit the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.
