ABILENE, Texas -

The city of Abilene completed day two of a three-day spraying regimen this morning in response to human cases of West Nile virus being found in Abilene.

The city is spraying in the areas where the infected residents live. Area No. 1 includes Military Drive, Rustlers Trail, South 3rd, and Arnold Boulevard. Area No. 2 includes South 27, Marshall Street, South 20, and Palm Street.

The Abilene Taylor County Public Health District said they received the lab reports on Wednesday confirming the cases. Three confirmed human cases were found in Abilene, and one was confirmed in Taylor County. The infected residents are three men and one female, and range in age from 24 to 57 years.
