An Abilene man is in jail after he turned himself in on a warrant for the felony sexual assault of a child.

According to police, 20-year-old Dakota Ray Deanda turned himself in at at the Law Enforcement Center Wednesday.

Deanda allegedly had sex with a girl who was under the age of 14 on April 29.

As of Friday, Deanda is held in the Taylor County Jail on $15,000 bond. The charge is a second degree felony, punishable by two to 20 years in prison.
