Abilene man sent to hospital after being trapped beneath tractor

A man was sent to the hospital on Sunday after a tractor he was driving flipped over.

On Sunday, the 69-year-old man was trapped under his tractor for more than 45 minutes, according to the Abilene Fire Dept.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon just south of East Stamford St.

A man driving a truck was pulling the tractor while the other man was steering it. The tractor flipped over and pinned the mans legs underneath.

A trailer transporting a propane tank was also involved. The tank developed a small leak and was moved to a safe location to reduce the fire danger.

The man injured was taken to Hendrick Medical Center.
