An Abilene man received a sentence of eight years probation Friday for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Eugene Thomas, 32, was sentenced for his involvement -- with then 17-year-old Tyrell Daniels -- in sexually assaulting a 13-year-old. He was indicted in 2011.

According to court documents, Thomas and Daniels admitted to police to having consensual sex with the teen.
