Abilene's sales tax rebate for July increased less than 1 percent when compared to last year.

The city's July rebate, which represents May sales, amounted to about $3 million -- or 0.95 percent above the same month in 2011.

Still, Abilene's sales tax rebate is 16.26 percent above last year for the period of October through July, records show.
