An Abilene woman was indicted Thursday for allegedly allowing a dog to freeze to death.
According to court records, 27-year-old Angela Lara allegedly left two dogs tied to a cable outside in freezing temperatures in January.
Authorities said the dogs were not provided with housing, bedding or any other form of warmth and one of the dogs had frozen to death.
A Taylor County grand jury indicted Lara on one count of cruelty to animals.
