An Abilene woman accused of arson was indicted by a Taylor County grand jury Thursday.

In May, 22-year-old Demi Christine French was arrested on an arson warrant after police responded to a disturbance call.

French allegedly set fire to a room she had rented at the Rodeway Inn back in February.

According to police, she claimed she was not in the room when the fire started. Investigators said they discovered the fire was intentionally set.

French has two prior convictions for arson from 2011.
