As high winds and storms rolled through the Dallas area Saturday afternoon, DFW International Airport began grounding flights.

Don Green, with Abilene Regional Airport said about 8 or 9 flights scheduled to land at DFW had to be diverted to Abilene.

Many of those flights were back in the air within a few hours.
