ABILENE, Texas -

Abilene Police say an alert driver tipped them off to a suspected drunken driver.

Officers arrested 43-year-old Jason Creech at 5:15 p.m. Monday, but police say another driver called to alert them that Creech was behind the wheel and appeared to be extremely intoxicated in the 4300 block of South Clack Street.

An Abilene police officer said Creech initially did not pull over and then committed several traffic violations before stopping.

Police said Creech failed several field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer test.

He was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Jail records show Creech posted bond and was released on Tuesday.
