The unemployment rates for the Big Country are showing substantial improvement for the month of September.
The Texas Workforce Commission reports Taylor county's unemployment rate has dropped from 5.6 percent down to 5 percent.
Brown county is seeing just as much improvement. Its unemployment rate is now at 5.5 percent down from 6.1 percent just last month.
