BROWNWOOD, Texas -

You may have noticed some students paiting and hammering away on some houses this week, beginning on Monday the 18th.

Members of churches in Brownwood and Early call it "Project Sweat", and they're helping homeowners who may need a little extra help with repairs to their property.

Nearly 100 students and adults have been involved with Project Sweat this year.

Some students were busy painting a home, while others had tougher jobs, such as cleaning up yards and tree limbs.

One group of students and adults built a ramp for a wheel chair that will lead directly to a home.

Every student and adult is working toward a common goal, and that is helping other members of the community.

"It's just rewarding, we're not doing this for pay, we're not doing this for anything," says Coggin Avenue Baptist Church member Rick Henderson.

Five different buildings are being worked on this year during Project Sweat.

To get involved, contact the Heart of Texas Area Office at (325) 643-1348, they are located at 1004 Main Street.
