Brownwood Police are investigating what may have lead to the drowning of a San Angelo man at a motel swimming pool in Brownwood.
According to BrownwoodNews.com, the man was found Friday around 4:30 pm at the Gate 1 Motor Inn swimming pool on Hwy 377S.
Brownwood Police said the man and his family were in Brownwood from San Angelo for a reunion.
According to police, the 44-year-old man headed to the pool before his family.
Bis family arrived and found him at the bottom of the pool.
He was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy is being preformed along with a toxicology report to determine what caused the man's death.
