Not only did it rain a good bit Monday in Brownwood, Tuesday morning there was steady precipitation.
Even though the rain is helping lake levels, farmers and ranchers ? a little more couldn't hurt.
The rainfall in Brownwood certainly isn't hurting anyone or anything, in fact, it's quite the opposite.
People couldn't be happier.
They say it was long overdue for their plants and flowers, not to mention the lake, which has been dangerously low for months.
City Manager, Bobby Rountree, says unfortunately this stint of rain still doesn't change the fact Brownwood is under stage three of a drought contingency plan.
"You can water one day a week, and it's certain hours; for example, Monday the even addresses can water, and on Tuesday the odd addresses," says Rountree.
Also, this Wednesday and Thursday, the 9th and 10th, are extra watering days for Brownwood.
The water district is testing their new plant and will be running on full capacity.
After those extra watering days this week, Brownwood will go back to their original schedule where residents will be able to water once a week.
