A Brownwood man indicted on allegations he photographed women without their consent has been taken into federal custody.
A Brown County Grand Jury returned 10 indictments against 50-year-old Johnny Wright alleging improper photography or visual recording in August.
The grand jury also returned indictments alleging evidence tampering and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
Wright is alleged to have possessed a .22 caliber rifle.
Wright, a registered sex offender, was arrested in June for using his cell phone to photograph the backsides of women, mostly in Wal-Mart.
Now, Wright is in federal custody on a firearms case.
He was set to stand trial next month, but the state cannot try Wright until federal authorities are done with him.
