A Brownwood man was badly injured in Afghanistan on Tuesday.
Cody Williams, a hospital medic first class petty officer in the U.S. Navy, is making a remarkable recovery.
Williams was traveling in a Humvee when it was hit by an IED.
Initially, Williams was listed as seriously injured. He was told he might lose his legs. However, his family has received news that Cody had feeling in his toes and fingers.
Williams is currently serving his third deployment overseas.
