It's fun, safe, and free for the entire family.
The 22nd Annual Christmas Lane event kicks off tomorrow night at the Abilene State Supported Living Center.
The event starts at 6 p.m. and will be open every evening from 6 - 10 p.m. through December 23rd.
Twenty-two years ago, Christmas Lane started out with only seven displays, but this year, they're estimating that there will be at least 90.
The goal of Christmas Lane is twofold.
One is to raise awareness about the Abilene State Supported Living Center.
"You have a bunch of people out here working, a bunch of people out here living that need the support of Abilene and that's why we do it," said Christmas Lane chairperson Bill Gilliland.
The other goal is to give the community and residents of the Living Center something fun to do at Christmas time.
In addition to the drive-through tour, children will be able to make free phone calls to the North Pole.
If you come out Thursday night at 6 p.m., Santa Claus will make his grand entrance.
Santa will be available every night for pictures until December 23rd.
New to Christmas Lane this year is a special light show that will be in the parking lot toward the exit.
