Circus brings smiles to Abilene children

ABILENE, Texas -

Thousands of people welcomed the Suez Shrine Circus to the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene on Saturday.

Kids of all ages couldn't wait to see their favorite three-ring circus animals such as elephants, tigers, lions and ponies.

Proceeds from the circus benefit the Suez Shrine fraternity better known as Shriners.

Money earned from Saturday's circus will help support the non-profit Shriners Hospital for Children. It will also go towards some of the Shriners' community outreach projects.
