City of Abilene: Senior Talent Show set for September
The city of Abilene's Senior Citizens Services will present a Senior Talent Show -- for the second year -- on Sept. 8 in the Abilene Civic Center's auditorium, a news release said Tuesday.

Catch the second annual Senior Talent Show
ABILENE, Texas – The City of Abilene Senior Citizens Services presents the second annual Senior Talent Show. Last year’s show featured 23 acts performing before a crowd of 250 people. This year’s event will take place September 8 at the Abilene Civic Center Auditorium at 2 p.m. People of all ages are invited to attend. Tickets at the door are $5 per person.
The Senior Talent Show will feature the talents of those 55 years of age and older. Acts could include singing, musical performances, variety acts and dancing. Individual and group acts are welcome. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place winners.
Seniors interested in auditioning for the show can fill out an application at the Rose Park Senior Activity Center in Rose Park located at South 7th St. and Barrow. Applications are due by July 23. Auditions will take place on August 3 and 10 at 4 p.m. in the Rose Park Senior Activity Center.
