The Day Nursery of Abilene is closing one of its facilities.

The board of directors voted to close the day care's Ash Street facility after what they say was a close look at the center's financial position and performance.

In a press release issued late Thursday night, The Day Nursery board president says Sept. 14 will be the center's last day open.

Parents at the center have been notified, and Day Nursery will work to make room for those children at one of its remaining three locations.
