If you drove by the Walmart on Southwest Drive on Wednesday, you probably noticed something unusual.

Protesters were demonstrating against the alleged abuse of pigs by Wal-Mart.

Demonstrators said Walmart farms pigs in gestation crates, where the animals have little room to move, some allegedly for their whole lives.

In a statement, Walmart said it offers crate-free pork products and is having ongoing discussions with its suppliers and food safety experts to increase the number of crate-free products.
