The Abilene Fire Department responded to an early morning structure fire on Clinton Street at around 12:30 a.m.

According to the Abilene Fire Department the fire went all the way up into the attic of the house.

Six fire crews arrived on scene. Officials said candles might have been used a long with other items.

No one was in the house and there were no injuries. There was extensive damage to the home.

Fire officials are still investigating what caused the fire.
