A 70-year-old woman was robbed at Pine Meadows apartment community Wednesday and was sent to the hospital with a head injury.

According to a police report, a white male in his 20s pushed the victim down ? causing her to hit her head and suffer a wound on her head.

She was transported by ambulance to Abilene Regional Medical Center.

KTXS contacted the hospital Friday to get an update on her condition. She is still in the hospital, but officials would not released her exact condition.

Police said the man robbed her of her purse, which contained her credit and debit cards, along with cash and checks.
