Election 2012: Final results from the Big Country, state, and national

Propositions for a new jail and improvements to the courthouse and sheriff’s office have been approved in Nolan County.

That's according to complete but unofficial results.

In Winters, voters overwhelmingly approved propositions to allow off-premise alcohol sales and mixed beverage sales.

In Novice, voters voted in favor of consolidating with Coleman ISD.

In Stephens County, George W. "Billy" Wade III  (R ) captured more votes than incumbent  Dan Young (D) in the battle for sheriff.

In Brownwood, Eric Evans defeated Stanley Walker and Brant Baugh for Place 4 on the district’s board of trustees.
