A FedEx truck forced to swerve to avoid hitting a car instead hit a fence, causing a small grass fire and a power outage.
Police said an elderly man pulled out in front of the FedEx truck on Buffalo Gap Road around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver of the truck served and ran through a fence, hitting a power line pole and sparking a small grass fire.
Power to the area was out for a little while but was quickly restored.
Firefighters were able to put out the grass fire quickly.
