Filing deadline for Abilene city election approaches

ABILENE, Texas -

Friday is the final day to file to run in the May Abilene city election.

Voters will be choosing two Abilene city council members.

The Place 5 seat is being vacated by Stormy Higgins, who is not seeing re-election.  So far, Charles Zollars and Kyle McAlister have filed for that seat. 

Place 6 incumbent Kellie Miller has filed for re-election.  Steve Savage is also seeking the Place 6 seat.
